Mother Nature has it out for me...

For the past two weeks, I have been looking forward to returning home to Richmond this weekend.  Saturday was supposed to be filled with a photoshoot for my friend's daughter Riley (the 1 year old I mentioned recently in a post) and hanging out with another friend in the evening.  Sunday was supposed to be the GPA-R picnic...unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans, and the entire weekend ended up getting rained out.  I was debating whether I still felt like taking on I-95 in this type of weather, but after hydroplaning on my way home from work (and I only work 2 miles away from my apartment), I decided that I didn't want to chance being on rainy roads with such precious cargo (i.e. the pups!).  So, I decided to stay in KoP, play with my new camera, and upload some photos I have taken recently.  Enjoy!

Blue is not happy that he has nowhere to hide in the apartment, especially when I start cooking.  He is a resourceful little guy, though, and found shelter under one of our end tables...not really sure how much protection it offered from the microwave, but whatever makes him feel better...

You will see a lot of photos of Blue and one of my cats, Lita.  This is because they are the two that are always laying closest to my computer desk, so they are subjects within easy reach for me to test out my newly read-about camera skills.  I like to think Blue is pondering how he is going to tear into this stuffie as soon as he gets his second wind.

What did you say, Momma?  Yeah, I know I'm the cutest boy in the world!!  Just wanted to point out the yellow and blue legs in the photo- it's the blogging debut of Blue's favorite (and most resilient!) toy yet...it is a $6 octopus that I bought at Ikea in the kids section...nothing hard like eyes that can harm the dogs, crazy legs they can grab onto, and even though it doesn't squeak, it drives Blue crazy!  He has had it for going on 5 months now, and it still looks brand-new...unlike all the other toys I buy them that end up falling apart within a week. And yes, he plays with it ALL the time!

Are you done taking photos of me?  He also is afraid that I am going to take his toy...he looks very relaxed, but note that he is holding onto it with his dew claw...

Kitty #1 - Domino...looking very relaxed!

Kitty #2 - Lita, all snuggled up for her cameo!

The VAGA picnic this weekend got rained out too. The cold rain sucks! Looks like Blue is turning out to be quite the 'model' boy :)

Blue doesn't look like he's parting with those toys any time soon! Those are some wonderful photos!
